Padre’s Corner
There are so many reasons to be thankful as we have embarked upon another month of May!
Thank you to all of our parents and catechists who have given of their time to educate our young in the Faith, particularly in our religious education sessions! It is a testament to our children that our parents have taken the time each week to attend class and teach the Faith to their children! It is always beneficial to study and learn the Catholic Faith; for, the Faith is not something, It is Somebody, Jesus Christ. The more I know of Him, the more I can love Him.
May is the month of sacraments at Holy Trinity. At each weekend Masses we will have a handful of youngsters receive their First Holy Communion! As reception of the sacraments occurs in parish life, it is a gift for the whole parish to witness our young people receive Jesus: Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity! Perhaps, we can offer a Hail Mary for each child.
The last week of May will see Archbishop Broglio of the Military Archdiocese visit our parish. He will confer the Sacrament of Confirmation upon our teens on two evenings. Please consider offering a Hail Mary for our confirmandi that they remain open to the working of God, the Holy Spirit in their lives!
Thank you again to our parents and catechists who have helped prepare our teens to receive God, the Holy Spirit uniquely in Confirmation!
Finally, thank you to our religious education staff, Mrs. Margi Loesel, Mrs. Lourdes Highfill and Mrs. Mary Beth Balint!
In thinking of all the sacraments that will be offered at Holy Trinity in the next 30 days, I am mindful that we will again host the Ordinations to the Priesthood for our diocese. If you have never witnessed the ordination of men to the priesthood, June 1st at 11am is a golden time. Last year, eight men were ordained at Holy Trinity. This year, Deacon James Joseph and Deacon Sean Nypaver will be ordained. You may recognize Deacon Nypaver as he has visited us often in the last three years. May we aid them by our prayers as they prepare to make their total self-gift to Our Lord as His consecrated priests!

El Rincon Del Padre
Hay tantas razones para estar agradecidos ya que nos hemos embarcado en otro mes de mayo!
¡Gracias a todos nuestros padres y catequistas que han dado su tiempo para educar a nuestros jóvenes en la fe, particularmente en nuestras sesiones de educación religiosa! ¡Es un testimonio para nuestros hijos que nuestros padres se hayan tomado el tiempo cada semana para asistir a clases y enseñar la Fe a sus hijos! Siempre es beneficioso estudiar y aprender la fe católica; porque la Fe no es algo, es Alguien, Jesucristo. Cuanto más conozco de Él, más puedo amarlo.
Mayo es el mes de los sacramentos en Holy Trinity. ¡En cada misa de fin de semana tendremos un puñado de jóvenes que recibirán su Primera Comunión! Como la recepción de los sacramentos ocurre en la vida parroquial, es un regalo para toda la parroquia ser testigo de cómo nuestros jóvenes reciben a Jesús: ¡Cuerpo, Sangre, Alma y Divinidad! Quizás podamos ofrecer un Ave María por cada niño.
La última semana de mayo el Arzobispo Broglio de la Arquidiócesis Militar visitará nuestra parroquia. Él conferirá el Sacramento de la Confirmación a nuestros adolescentes durante dos noches. ¡Por favor considere ofrecer un Ave María por nuestros confirmandi para que permanezcan abiertos a la obra de Dios, el Espíritu Santo en sus vidas!
¡Gracias nuevamente a nuestros padres y catequistas que han ayudado a preparar a nuestros adolescentes para recibir a Dios, el Espíritu Santo únicamente en la Confirmación!
Finalmente, ¡gracias a nuestro personal de educación religiosa, Sra. Margi Loesel, Sra. Lourdes Highfill y Sra. Mary Beth Balint!
Al pensar en todos los sacramentos que se ofrecerán en Holy Trinity en los próximos 30 días, soy consciente de que nuevamente seremos anfitriones de las Ordenaciones al Sacerdocio para nuestra diócesis. Si nunca ha presenciado la ordenación de hombres al sacerdocio, el 1 de junio a las 11 a.m. es un momento dorado. El año pasado, ocho hombres fueron ordenados en Holy Trinity. Este año, serán ordenados el diácono James Joseph y el diácono Sean Nypaver. Quizás reconozca al Diácono Nypaver ya que nos ha visitado con frecuencia en los últimos tres años. ¡Que podamos ayudarlos con nuestras oraciones mientras se preparan para hacer su entrega total a Nuestro Señor como Sus sacerdotes consagrados!
