In the fall of 2011 I was asked by Bishop Loverde to become the pastor at Holy Trinity. It was joyful news for me. I was familiar with the area as my family had lived in this part of the county since the early ‘80s. I had known Holy Trinity since its inception in 2001. Fr. Peffley, the founding pastor, had been generous with me in offering Mass here. As I look back on these years, I am grateful to Our Lord for being a part of this parish family. There are so many devoted to Our Lord and His Mother!
I am grateful to the many priests who have been assigned at Holy Trinity, most recently Fr. Bork and Fr. Stefan. All the priests have been a tremendous help at the parish in offering sacraments, visiting the sick and counsel. I am thankful to have known Fr. Shelton and Fr. Tewes in their later years.
How many times has there been laughter throughout the office! Not all offices can say there is daily laughter. Ours can. It has been a joy to have been with devoted and dedicated staff over these years.
How many beautiful families are a part of Holy Trinity. Thank you for your devotion to Our Lord in the sacraments, especially Mass and Confession! Thank you for opening your homes to us priests throughout these years. Thank you for having your children involved in parish life.
There is one group of people at Holy Trinity who you would not see at the church frequently – our shut-ins. Yet, one can learn so much from their experiences of life. I have witnessed Fr. Bork and Fr. Stefan shine in their weekly care for our shut-ins. Their dedication has been an example to me of fatherly care for the sick.
I have many, many notes from these twelve years. I will spare you. Suffice it to say, Holy Trinity has been a blessing for me in my priesthood. I pray and hope that Holy Trinity will always be a united spiritual family in Christ; that it will be a beacon of love for Christ in the sacraments; a source of truth; and, a parish of love, joy and peace!

En el otoño del 2011 el Obispo Loverde me pidió que fuera el Párroco de Holy Trinity. Fue una feliz noticia para mí. Yo estaba familiarizado con el área ya que mi familia ha vivido en esta parte del condado desde principios de los 80. Yo conocía Holy Trinity desde su comienzo en el 2001. El Padre Peffley, párroco fundador, había sido generoso conmigo permitiéndome ofrecer Misas aquí. Mientras veo hacia atrás en estos años, estoy agradecido con Nuestro Señor de ser parte de esta familia parroquial. ¡Hay tantos devotos a Nuestro Señor y a Su Madre!
Estoy agradecido con los sacerdotes que han sido asignados a Holy Trinity, más recientemente, Padre Bork y Padre Stefan. Todos los sacerdotes han sido de tremenda ayuda a la parroquia para ofrecer sacramentos, visitar a los enfermos y dar consejos. ¡Cuántas veces ha habido risas en la oficina! No todas las oficinas pueden decir que tienen risas a diario. La nuestra puede. Ha sido una alegría haber estado con un personal dedicado y devoto durante estos años.
Cuántas familias bellas son parte de Holy Trinity. Gracias a todos por su devoción a Nuestro Señor en los sacramentos, ¡especialmente la Misa y Confesiones! Gracias por abrir sus hogares para nosotros los sacerdotes a través de estos años. Gracias por tener a sus hijos involucrados en la vida parroquial.
Hay un grupo de personas de Holy Trinity que nadie ve con frecuencia en la iglesia – los confinados por enfermedad. Aun así, uno puede aprender tanto de sus experiencias de vida. Yo he sido testigo de cómo Padre Bork y Padre Stefan brillan durante sus visitas semanales a los confinados. Su dedicación ha sido un gran ejemplo de cuidado paternal a los enfermos para mí.
Tengo muchas, muchas notas de estos doce años. Los dispensaré de ellas. Es suficiente con decir, que Holy Trinity ha sido una bendición en mi sacerdocio. Rezo y espero que Holy Trinity siempre sea una familia espiritual unida en Cristo; que siempre sea un modelo de amor a Cristo en los sacramentos; una fuente de verdad; ¡una parroquia de amor, alegría y paz!
